I had heard a while ago about what I think is a Herman Hesse book, and I can't seem to find the title
It might be a short story,
if anyone knows can you tell me what it is called?
I think it is about a young man that is falls in love with a woman name Iris, but when he approaches her she tells him that she cannot love him until he finds himself and also that she is free to be herself, so I think he goes to search for himself?
If anyone knows what this work is please let me know
