magical hesse Reply to this post

I find that there is something very special about Hesse's works, something magical. Sometimes I feel it is some of the most honest and thoughtful works ever. It opens the creative and thinking potential of so many. In my case, the book 'Siddhartha' has lifted a deep and profound spirit within me that I might have never have known existed. If you can tap into the level of consciousness that Hesse achieved, everyone has the ability to reach enlightenment, and eternal bliss. His books are the pathway. To reach this state, one must have experience and have passed through the negative emotions (like Siddhartha).
thanks, i wonder if anyone feels the same, or differently?

I too believe in the Hesse magic- some years ago I dreamt of a wonderful game played by millions.
a game of mystery and magic.
a game of journey and destiny.
a game of revealed secrets and masterful knowledge.
a game for all to master.

I began a search for expression which lasted a number of years. This search lead me to Hesse and the Glass Bead Game.

In awe, I realised I had discovered the game I had dreamt.

Would it be possible for you to write such a game and have it published so it could be shared by all

Funnily I must have discovered it about the same time after having started the book about 5 times over the last 10 years.. Odd

I lived in Germany for a year in 1981 (or thereabouts) and went to Maulbronn (Hesse's old School) to hear a concert of Bach's Mass in 'B' Minor (one of Herman's favourite pieces). There was violinist playing who looked very much like Hesse, wore glasses, neat aesthetic features,. That night I had a dream that it really was Hesse. Strange how dreams put a finger on things.
