Although the film "Siddhartha" by Conrad Rooks was successfully re-released in Europe and in other regions a couple of years ago by the Austrian film distributor Gerhard Winkler (office@winklerfilm.com), the public release and sale of a video/DVD version was not permitted by the holder of the rights (Suhrkamp Verlag, Frankfurt a.M./Germany). Recently new negotiations were started and have a good chance of leading to a reconsideration by the publishing house and an agreement with the distributor.
