i am wondering (pleading) if anyone knows the source of the quote "if i know what love is, it is because of you". i can only find that it is attributed to hesse.
i am trying to use it on a birth announcement that will be printed in german/english and would like to use hesse's exact words on the german announcements.
is this indeed a quote by hesse?
please help, i've been looking everywhere for the answer....

It's from "Narcissus and Goldmund". If it's for a birth announcement, I hope the child will be encouraged to read Narcissus when old enough.
