These highly recommended brochures are published by Mr. Limberg and continue the tradition of the annual issues which had been circulated by the late Dr. Martin Pfeifer. They contain a wealth of information about publications and events mostly in, but not restricted to the German language area. Interesting for international Hesse readers will be the section on new translations which, besides large numbers of recent translations into Italian (61) and French (17), lists Basque, Danish, English, Finnish, Greek, Japanese, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Rumanian, Serbo-Croatian, Slovakian, Spanish, Czech, Turkish, and Hungarian. The booklet concludes with a useful index of names. A must for people who want to keep up with the most recent publications and events surrounding Hermann Hesse. Although Mr. Limberg did not specify an address from where you can order a copy of his bibliography, he did volunteer his own: Michael Limberg, Dechenweg 1, D-40591 Düsseldorf, Germany. With the backing of the Hermann Hesse Stiftung in Berne/Switzerland, Mr. Limberg has made these editions -- early since their inception -- available on-line as part of the Hermann Hesse Page. GG
